- gender and sexuality
- cosmetic manipulation and gender reassignment
- the re-creation of the body through digital technologies
Exploring technologies of the body means asking basic questions about
- the meaning of the body in the age of virtuality and the nature of the posthuman
- the role of the senses in constituting the world we perceive, create and experience
- the relationship between body and mind in the negociation of the individual human subject
- the politics and ethics of body manipulation
- the deployment of the human senses by new technologies
